The broad-spectrum sunscreens protect against both UVB and UVA exposure, as the latter penetrates the skin more deeply than does UVB exposure, says Dr. Lynne C. UVA is more important for contributing to wrinkles by degrading or breaking down collagen, Napatalung says.
