听力原文: Many Americans are moving to big cities. At the same time, many Americans are leaving the cities and looking for the "good life" in the country. Although they think they know what they want, they don't always find it.
Unless you know something about small-town life, you may be in for some big surprise. There are not so many job opportunities there. People are not always happy about having newcomers move in. They like to keep things the way they are. And although there is usually a movie theater and a couple of restaurants, there isn't a lot to do at night.
But if you're looking for a more relaxed way of life, if you want to save money, and if you can make your own good times, small-town life may be for you. Before you decide whether or not to leave the city, spend a couple of weeks in a village. Look around and talk to people. Think what it would be like to live there fifty two weeks a year. And then, if you're sure, you can make the big move.
