B: Show her our markers.

A: Can we see that, Can you show us one of them now?

B: Yeah, it does take a while.

A: How old are they now? Oh they are six weeks, right?

B: Yeah.

听力原文:W: How can I help you?

M: I'd like to return this sweater for a refund. I bought it a week ago.

W: Well, what seems to be the problem?

M: Isn't it obvious by just looking at it? The first time I washed and dried it, the thing shrank at least five sizes.

W: I see what you mean, but did you follow the washing instructions? I think it says here ... right here on the label to hand wash it and then to dry it on low heat.

M: How was I supposed to know that? The label is written in Chinese! And something else i The stitching is coming undone and the color faded from a nice dark blue to a seaweed green.

W: Listen, sir. What I can do is allow you to exchange the sweater for another one.

M: I don't want to exchange it for anything! I just want my money back!

W: Well, I can give you credit on your next purchase, and since the item you purchased was on clearance, we can't give you a refund. Anyway, you can only return items with a receipt within six days, and unfortunately, that was yesterday in your case.

M: But, your store was closed yesterday because of the national holiday. Listen, I give up. Your store policies are completely unreasonable, and how do you expect people to shop here?

W: You did... Ha, ha...

M: Take your sweater. You should open up a pet store and sell it as a dog sweater.

A.It is the wrong size.

B.The fabric is coming apart.

C.It is stained.

Questions 6 to 10 are based on the following passage:Nonverbal (非语言的) communication ha

Questions 6 to 10 are based on the following passage:Nonverbal (非语言的) communication has to do with gestures, movements and closeness of two people when they are talking. (77) The scientists say that those gestures, movements and so on have meaning which words do not carry.

For example, the body distance between two speakers can be important. North Americans often complain that South Americans are unfriendly because they tend to stand close to the North American when speaking, while the South American often considers the NorthAmerican to be "cold" or "distant" because he keeps a greater distance between himself and the person he is speaking to. The "eye contact" provides another example of what we are calling nonverbal communication. Scientists have observed that there is more eye contact between people who like each other than there is between people who don't like each other. (78) The length of time that the person whom you are speaking to looks at your eyes indicates the amount of interest he has in the things you are talking about.

On the other hand, too long a gaze can make people uncomfortable. The eyes apparently play a great part in nonverbal communication. Genuine warmth or interest, shyness or confidence can often be seen in the eyes. We do not always consider a smile to be a sign of friendliness. Someone who is always smiling, and with little apparent reasons, often makes us uneasy.

第6题:According to the passage, nonverbal communication__________.

A. is a method often used by people who cannot speak

B. can tell something that words cannot

C. can be used to talk with people who cannot bear

D. is less used than words

听力原文:M: Good evening, everybody. (22)Welcome to Stars. Today we have Emma Thompson here as our distinguished guest. Welcome, Emma.

W: Thank you, Edward.

M: What do you most admire in a person?

W: As for me, it is the ability to laugh in the face of disaster.

M: Is there anything that was once fun for you but now isn't?

W: Diving. I loved it. Then I had to have an artificial nose made for me in the movie Nanny McPhee, and while I was inside the mask, I had a panic attack. And interestingly, the next time I went scuba diving, I couldn't breathe through my nose.

M: Five years ago, you took in a former child soldier from Rwanda. (23) He's now not only attending an English university but this year will become a British citizen. You must be excited.

W: Oh, we wept. We were in shock because we had not expected it. (24)He's taking his citizenship exams, which has made us laugh because the questions they ask are so ridiculous.

M: Like what?

W: Things like "What's the second title that the queen holds as the head of the Church of England?" Who knows that? I'll bet even the queen's forgotten.

M: Well, neither do I know it. Ha ha. So you're turning 50 in April. Any plans?

W: (25) We're shooting the second Nanny McPhee, which is a very good way of celebrating because those movies are such heaven to make. For the actual birthday, we're going to Scotland and we're going to make a really stupid film with our friends that I can show to everyone on my birthday, I'm going to celebrate it for a year.
