听力原文:Harry: What do you think of Professor Potter’s course, Jane?

Jane: Not much.

Harry: Why, what’s wrong with it?

Jane: Oh, I don’t know. It’s just that he overloads it with details. That course he gave on town planning last year. It was just the same -- a load of details, which you could have got from a book anyway. There was no overall...

Harry: No general overview you mean?

Jane: Yes. I suppose you could call it that. I couldn’t see the town for the buildings.

Harry: But you' ve got to have details in this kind of subject. Anyway I think he's good. You take his first lecture for in stance. I thought that was very interesting, and not at all over-detailed.

Jane: Well, he starts off all right, but then he just piles on the details.

Harry: Now you' re exaggerating.

Jane: Well, the way he dealt with the western developments, that wasn’t bad, I suppose.

Harry: You seem to have got something. Perhaps Potter is a little disorganized, but I think he's good.

Jane: Do you really think so?

Harry: He does do most of his teaching to the postgraduates. He only does the one undergraduate course each year. After all, I think he tends to forget where he is. He starts off being nice and general and then tries to cram in a bit toe much specialized information.

Jane: The main thing I object to is this lack of direction.

What does Jane think of Potter’s course?

A.Very good.

B.Too general.

C.Meticulous and too specialized.

D.Clear and interesting.

听力原文:Jane: Well, what do you feel after the first haft of this concert? I do hope you
are enjoying it.

Jack: Well, I am really amazed. Fantastic, marvelous music! The dancing was so vigorous and there is such enthusiasm.

Jane: Yes, this is the thing about a lot of our music and the accompanying dance.

Jack: I was so excited. It almost made me want to jump on the stage and dance, as well. It was absolutely stunning and I thought that girl singer was very beautiful. But, apart from that, she had a marvelous voice.

Jane: What do you think of the costumes?

Jack: I thought they were very strange. Is what we saw in the first half real folk music? I mean are there people in the villages really doing this kind of thing?

Jane: Yes, there are.

Jack: I would very much like to be able to go to some of the villages and actually see them doing it, as it were in their environment.

Jane: Yes, of course. This is the ideal.

Jack: Well, I think I will do that. It looks as if the second half is starting.

Jane: Yes, we must get back to our seats. Well, I do hope that you enjoy the second half as much as you seem to have enjoyed the first half.

Jack was very excited about the concert and he used all the following words to express his excite-ment EXCEPT ______.

听力原文:M: Hello, is that Jane?

W: Speaking.

M: Hi, Jane, this is Chris here. Listen, I'm in real trouble. I'm in the middle of an assignment and my computer's crashed!

W: Oh, no! Bad luck!

M: Yeah, I can't believe it! What do you think I should do? I'm desperate!

W: I think I can help you, Chris, so calm down! It happened to me last year, and I solved the problem. So don't panic! What happened exactly?

M: I started to boot up and suddenly the screen went blank. I couldn't do anything! All my data's gone! I can't get back it! I've lost it all!

W: Listen, that happened to me, and I took it round to a small company I know and they fixed it in an hour! And they got back all my data, too.

M: Thank goodness Can you give me the phone number?

W: Sure, they're very helpful. Speak to Kit, Kit Marlow. You can mention my name too! That might help. Do you have a pen handy? Call them at 0208 346 789. Oh, just one more thing. Before you do that, switch it off, and try again. You never know it might correct itself.

M: Okay! I'll do that fight now. And thanks a million!

W: My pleasure. Good luck.
