Convenience foods have now become the norm in many...

Convenience foods have now become the norm in many societies. Although some people idealize traditional cooking practices and believe they will prevail indefinitely. In fact, there are a number of reasons for believing that convenience foods are likely to grow in popularity. The first reason is the decline in family size and the increase in single-adult households. In more traditional societies, where families tended to be large, it made economic sense for one person to devote her/himself to time-consuming domestic tasks such as growing and preparing food. Nowadays, people tend t live in ever smaller family units. If each family were to spend large amounts of time growing and processing food, this would be a poor use fo society’s human resources. Another reason convenience foods are likely to become more popular is the increase in the number of women with children, who work in full-time employment. In the UK, for example, working mothers significantly outnumber stay-at-home mothers. There is evidence that consumption of convenience foods rises with numbers of hours worked. As modern life increasingly demands that people are economically active, this trend is likely to continue. 请给这篇文章写一个结尾段

听力原文: People tend to underestimate their life expectancy, and it's not surprising; It's the look- around problem again: You generalize from life spans of older friends and family members and figures that's what's in store for you, too. But in an era of rapidly improving life expectancy, the look-around method once again gives the wrong answer. Life expectancy at age 65 today is 15.6 additional years for women. For both sexes, this represents an increase of more than two years just since 1970. By the time the youngest baby boomers turn 65, the Social Security Administration projects that life expectancy at that age could be ashigh as 18 more years for men and 21 years for women. Note that everyone runs very nearly a 50 percent "risk" of living longer than their life expectancy.

That reality makes retirement planning exceptionally difficult. On the day a husband and wife turn 65, they may have only a year or two of living between them to finance, or they may have 70. A good way might be to plan against the possibility that you will outlive three quarters of the people in your age/9'oup -- a calculation our Web site calculator allows you to make. You may not want to deny a child a college education just so you are sure to have enough money to celebrate your 95th birthday, but you also don't want to become a burden on your children just because you unexpectedly live to be 10 years older than the average life expectancy for people of your age.

(30)

A.Because the children's college education fee is too high.

B.Because people may live longer than they expected.

C.Because you need to celebrate your 95th birthday.

D.Because you may become a burden on your children.
