听力原文: It's amazing how quickly our group has grown. We began with 15 people a little over 4 years ago. We used to meet out at the airport to talk about retail marketing; we were focused on sharing marketing strategies and trying to find new retail opportunities for a variety of banking products. Over time, we put together a line of marketing approaches for financial services that several companies have seized upon. We now routinely speak at financial services conferences and provide private consulting. Our group of 15 people has grown to more than 200, and we take up a lot more office space.

听力原文:W: Hello, Tom. How was the trip?
M: It was a terrible experience.
W: Can you tell me what happened?
M: I intended to fly to New York to attend a meeting, but I got on the wrong plane and it took me to Washington.
W: Oh, Tom, that's awful. Then you should have taken a taxi to go to New York.
M: Yes, I wanted to, but I couldn't. The taxi drivers were on strike.
W: Poor old you! So you didn't make it to the meeting in time.
M: As luck would have it, I met a friend who was driving to New York.
W: So you attended the meeting at last. That's amazing!

听力原文:W: How was the concert tour in Europe?
M: It was great. It was a real pleasure.
W: How did you feel on stage? Is there a difference between making a film and playing music?
M: Basically communicating with the same kind of people. The only difference is just being on the stage instead of being on screen. I believe the same people who like my films were in our concert. Even in different countries, I could feel the same all the time, like you are meeting somebody whom you already know.
W: What do you enjoy about playing music?
M: It is much more relaxed compared with the film making. Making a film is like being an architect and a constructor at the same time. But making music is just being an architect. It's also an amazing feeling.
W: I've heard you planned to have a concert in New York.
M: At this moment, I've stopped playing music for preparing the next film. So we won't go to New York this year, maybe next year ... I don't know yet ... maybe after the film is done ... but we're still in discussion.
W: For each film, how long does it take you for preparation?
M: At least 3 years.
Which of the following is NOT true about the man's view on making a film and playing music?
A.Just like making a film, making music is an amazing feeling.
B.Playing music is much more relaxed than making a film.
C.Basically they communicate with different kinds of people.
D.Being on the stage is different from being on screen.
M: Hey, how's it going?
W: Oh, pretty good. How's it going with you?
M: Yeah! That isn't bad. It's a beautiful morning out here in Pennsylvania. It's great.
W: Now is it true that the movie Forrest Gump is what inspired you to set across the country on foot?
M: That's right. You know, I saw that movie in high school. It is kind of amazing to me, it was an amazing display of freedom, athleticism, and willpower. So I just said to myself; "Man, that's something that I wanna do someday."
W: Alright, you set out on this journey three months ago. What is your average day like? How many miles are you running?
M: Yeah, urn, good question, I mean, basically I wake up sometime, you know, around six. I try to leave between eight and nine. I average about probably 30 miles a day. My longest day is uh 56, though actually. That was in Missouri somewhere. That was, that was a pretty killer.
W: Now, tell us about the baby stroller, that is part of your journey.
M: Actually I gut this idea from two guys who did the cross-the-country run from New Jersey to Oregon, David and Scott. Basically it's got my tent in it. I've got a spare tyre, my backpack, a sleeping bag, a little blown mattress. It's kind of a stack of basically everything I need.
W: Well, Willy, we wish you luck as you approach Newport, Rhode Island. Good luck to you.
