All in all, it is quite hard to say whether we should be accepting these new technological advances or whether we should be sticking to the traditional model of sport. We are currently in the middle of both drug use and the use of new and innovative equipment as far as I can tell. Where are we going to progress from here? Are athletes actually going to put microchips in their brain in order to attain an athletic title? The future holds many options for the outlook of sport, and it will be interesting to address tradition in sport in the years to come.
What the author discussed in the previous sections is most probably about ______.

Many writers complain that their biggest difficulty is finding a subject. Sometimes that difficulty appears less complicated because the subject is identified in a writing assignment. But writing assignments vary in how they are worded, what they assume, and what they expect. For example, you may be asked to discuss two characters in a play you have read. This open assignment does not identify a subject; it merely identifies an area in which a subject needs to be developed. Another version of that same assignment might ask you to compare and contrast the way the two characters make compromises. This closed assignment identifies a subject, but it assumes you how to work with a specific form. (comparison and contrast essay) and it expects you to produce specific information. In other words, although the second assignment restricts the subject, you must still select and arrange the subject matter of your essay.
When you have a free choice of subject ,your difficulties may appear more complicated. No one is helping you find your subject.. On the other hand, no one is telling you what to do or how to do it. You're free to your own decisions. Rather than discussing two characters you have read about in a play, you may decide to compare and contrast two characters you know in your neighborhood. Or better still, you decide to analyze how your favorite character deals with the problem of making compromises.
Whether you are responding to an assignment or creating your own, you need to follow certain measures if you are to find all appropriate subject. First and foremost, you should write about a subject you know or can learn something from. The more you know about your subject, the more likely you're to shape it according to your unique perspective. In particular, if your subject is familiar to most of your readers, then your personal experience with or research on the subject will help you write about it in terms of your observanons, your ideas and your values. Second, you must determine if your subject is a general subject that you must limit to a specific subject or not. A general subject is a large category of information, such as situation comedies on television. A specific subject focuses on a particular topic within that category, such as the portrayal of professional women. Or a specific subject can reflect a particular attitude or judgment that expresses the writer's personal view of the general subject. The more you can limit or specify your subject, the more likely you are to concentrate your attention on concrete information rather than vague impressions. Third, to ensure that you are willing to spend time working on your subject, you need to ask yourself three questions about it. Is it significant? Is it interesting? Is it manageable?

The average hourly wage for American-born Asian ladies in 2001(the latest year with reliable figures) was $19.30, with American-born whites coming next. On the bottom rungs of the ladder came Latinas: if born abroad, they earned a mere $10.40 an hour (though this was comfortably above California's then $6.25 minimum wage); if born in America, they managed $15.10 an hour.
Education is the biggest reason for the ethnic disparities. Some 55% of California's American-born Asian women have at least a bachelor's degree, and an impressive 84% of them either have jobs or are looking for them. By contrast, only 14% of American-born Hispanic women have a bachelor's degree and only 74% of them are in the labour market. Meanwhile, Latinas born abroad are often condemned to low-paying jobs by an even inefficient education or a poor knowledge of English. Much the same can be said of Asian women born in South-East Asia, a category that includes refugees from Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The institute calculates that they earned an average of $15.80, almost $1 less than other foreign-born Asians.
But education is not the only factor in play for California's women. Larger families make it more difficult for Latinas to go out to work in the first place; blacks often live too far away to commute to well-paid jobs; and just as Asians may benefit from high expectations, so other groups may suffer from low ones.
The institute makes an attempt, heroic or politically correct, to adjust for such factors, imagining, for example, that a foreign-born Latina has the same family structure, education and place of residence as the average Californian woman. That brings the average wage for foreign-born Latinas up to a more respectable $15.20; yet American-born Asians still rule the roost. But before the golden girls get too happy, the institute reckons that Californian women of all sorts tend to earn roughly 20% less than their menfolk do.
What can be inferred from "...in California some are better rewarded for this effort than others"?
A.Some women in California earn more than men.
B.Some women in California earn more than women in other places.
C.Some women in California earn more than other people.
D.Some women in California earn more than ordinary people.
