Most physiologists deal with reduction. Phenomena are explained in terms of simpler phenomena. For example, the movement of a muscle is explained in terms of changes in the membrane of muscle cells, entry of particular chemicals, and interactions between protein molecules within these cells. A molecular biologist would "explain" these events in terms of forces that bind various molecules together and cause various parts of these molecules to be attracted to one another.
Like other scientists, physiological psychologists believe that all natural phenomena--including human behavior---are subject to the laws of physics. Thus, the laws of behavior. can be reduced to descriptions of physiological processes.
How does one study the physiology of behavior? Physiological psychologists cannot simply be reductionists. It is not enough to observe behaviors and correlate them with physiological events that occur at the same time. Identical behaviors, under different conditions, may occur for different reasons, and thus be initiated by different physiological mechanisms. This means that we must understand "psychologically" why a particular behavior. occurs before we can understand what physiological events made it occur.
What does the passage mainly discuss?
A.The difference between "scientific" and "unscientific" explanations.
B.The difference between human and animal behavior.
C.How fear would be explained by the psychologist, physiologist, and molecular biologist.
D.How scientists differ in their approaches to explaining natural phenomena.
You are the network administrator in the New York office of TestKing.
The company network consists of a single Active Directory domain The New York office currently contains one Windows Server 2003 file server named TestKingA.
All file servers in the New York office are in an organizational unit (OU) named
New York Servers. You have been assigned the Allow - Change permission for a
Group Policy object (GPO) named NYServersGPO, which is linked to the New
York Servers OU.
The written company security policy states that all new servers must be configured
with specified predefined security settings when the servers join the domain. These
settings differ slightly for the various company offices.
You plan to install Windows Sever 2003, on 15 new computers, which all functions
as file servers. You will need to configure the specified security settings on the new
file servers.
TestKingA currently has the specified security settings configured in its local
security policy. You need to ensure that the security configuration of the new file
servers is identical to that of TestKingA. You export a copy of TestKingA‘s local
security policy settings to a template file.
You need to configure the security settings of the new servers, and you want to use
the minimum amount of administrative effort.
What should you do?()
Routers running RIP send their advertisement about cost every (73) seconds. A router also sends an update message whenever an update from another router causes it to change its routing table.
It is possible to use a range of different metrics or costs for the links in a routing protocol. RIP takes the simplest approach, with all link costs being equal (74). Thus it always tries to find the minimum hop route. Valid distances are 1 through (75).This also limits RIP to running on fairly small networks.
